'pursenalities'....okay they get points for that....and i love the line drawing of the woman.....i have never though in my life---and probably never will---understand how to work a purse....never owned one and when a friend hands me one to hold on too it's like, 'why do you carry bricks?' i mean sure if you're going to a riot, but shopping? their laugh implies they aren't carrying bricks.....hmmm...i can't imagine what i'd need to carry....i have pockets for ID/bank card and eye drops and chap stick and keys....done and set....yes, i'm a chick.....i'm just really clueless about purses.....yes, i'm clueless about a lot of things! :)

Just a few things I've seen in the purses of friends and lovers that could make things heavy.

1. Can of mace

2. Spare keys

3. Lots of loose change

4. Alibi phone

5. Tube of lube

6. Can of hairspray

7. Travel vibrator

8. Various stomach ailment products

The phone you use to talk to your boyfriend when your husband isn't around.

They tend to be heavy because they are pay as you go phones (it obviously defeats the purpose to have an extra on your family phone plan) and pay as you go phones tend to be older, heavier models.

And you obviously need to keep it in your purse because you don't want it laying around the house.

The general method is to stick it in a box of tampons and then stick that box of tampons in your purse - on the theory that even the most suspicious husband isn't going anywhere near your box of tampons.

I do!

And, yeah, I have a surprising amount of married friends with boyfriends on the side.

What I've noticed is that women will tell their male friends about their conquests but not their female friends. I think they assume their female friends would judge them more which is sort of silly. There have been times when I've been sitting at a table with three women all of whom are cheating on their husbands but have all sword me not to tell the women "because they wouldn't understand."

that's pretty damn clever!

yes, i carry a purse. i am infuriated by the lack of pockets in most women's clothing! i don't like fabric purses, i like sturdy leather bags.

i am a sucker for Very High Priced leather purses, and i just got a deal (over 60% off) on a bag but still paid over $100 for the purse. but it was leather, and a color that i do not have! then again, i found a VERY high priced purse at a thrift store for $20...it was worth over $500. so that was good.

yes, i'm a purse snob. LOL
