It's Our 11th Birthday!!!

I wanna kick off our birthday weekend event thanking all of our community members for being here, for posting, for the ideas, for the conversations and for being the reason Vintage Ads is awesome!!! This community is NOTHING without y'all!!! So THANK YOU!!! I appreciate each and everyone of you.

I sometimes feel we're all sitting at a big lunch table gabbing away sometimes when get into discussions. Or is that just me? Probably just me. :) Did any of you had themed lunch boxes as a kid? I had a Bee Gees one in 5th grade and I had the Snoopy one pictured in this ad, though I didn't really like Peanuts. I also had a Welcome Back Kotter one. If only I still had 'em now!!!

I love this community. Thanks for being a great mod! I have been on LJ the same amount of time and feel bad I stumbled across it so late.

I didn't have a character lunch box because I ate lunch at home. When I did eat luncj at school, I had a bright orange lunchbox that was pretty plain!

Don't feel bad about stumbling across vintage ads so late---you're here NOW and that's all that matters!!

I remember seeing some plain lunchboxes....some kids put stickers on them, but of course they washed off within about a week.....

I never needed a lunchbox because I always got the school lunch but my mom had a Strawberry Shortcake one that she used as a coupon box and I was always jealous of it because I loved Strawberry Shortcake.
