Went to the Fairgrounds antique/collectable sale yesterday, and came home with a bunch of old Cookbooks from the 1920's-50's to add to the collection! Here's one of them.

The Brer rabbit stories supposedly were racist. Not sure how that is, unless it's because they were told by an ex-slave.

Well, here's a quick snap from a vintage Brer Rabbit cookbook I have called "Personal Recipes of Brer Rabbit" which is not dated, but which I'm pretty sure is older than the one posted here. As you can see, it quite reflects the racist attitudes of the time. I also have a copy of the Brer Rabbit tales, but haven't looked at it in a long time.
