Sep. 20th, 2015 05:50 amNOT ENTRIES from the Pen/Pencil/Stationery contest (is voting still open?)
A few leftovers I didn't post or enter:

This one is just SO BIZARRE.

And this is not an ad, exactly, but it IS an ad mascot (Chessie) on Chesapeake & Ohio Railway stationery.

Date: 2015-09-21 04:06 am (UTC)Blue-black Parker Quink ink is STILL my favorite business ink. If only it still came in those art-deco bottles :-/
I'm so glad I bought lotsa quality stationery in the 70s, it's hard to find anything with quality paper that takes the ink properly. I used to write really nice letters to friends, now it's all e-mail, so it's uncertain I'll ever use up all those lovely cards, notes and envelopes :-/

Date: 2015-09-20 08:49 pm (UTC)because i'm trying very hard to get back into letter writing...and finding stationery that is not a note card is nearly impossible to do. oh, note cards are fine when you don't have much to say, but when you *do*?
you have a card. or if you're very lucky, you can find a set with one sheet of paper allowed to each envelope. bah, humbug!!
(and i WISH my fountain pens would fill themselves!! LOL)
