Ooh, Widmark! There weren't too many blonds who did well in Hollywood's Golden Era, but he was one, along with Alan Ladd and Dan Duryea. It's always fun to read of the villains like Duryea and Widmark being absolute creampuffs offstage, leading Boy Scout Troops and suchlike.
