We had that Red Chevy Monte Carlo all the way until 1988.

We had the prior year's version of that Cutlass Salon for 13 years. My father bought it new in 73. It ended up being my car in 84 and I reluctantly sold it in 86. It was a fairly uncommon car, apparently. Ours was 'Eclipse Blue' which was a really dark metallic blue and the thing had a black vinyl interior. When we lived in Arizona, I'd go out and roll down all the windows between 4th and 5th periods so that by the end of the school day the car wouldn't be like the surface of the sun inside. That car is the reason I stopped wearing shorts.

Not as cool as a Corvette owner, what? Just love the ad with the gal in that weird evening dress leaning onto the Oldsmobile Toronado. I wish, I was her child.

Okay, which one of these is the biggest, floatiest land barge? Because that's the one I want.
