So is the toaster outside or are the blinds the kid is pulling down mounted on the outside of the window? I suppose the third option is that the house just has some venetian blinds hanging loose in the middle of the kitchen.

I'm pretty sure it's just blinds in the middle of a large white void. The kid could have just walked around them, but perhaps is conditioned not to.

Little boy, watch out for those blinds' sharp edges! If they're the old-fashioned metal kind, I cut my finger on one when I was your age!

Also, this ad made me look up Franciscan ware and it was good to find that not all of it is this unattractive pink and brown combo. Ew.

I realize it's early, and I haven't had my toast 'n jam, nor peeped through the blinds...
