The Monarch was made by Ford of Canada, eh? It was essentially a Mercury with variations in details for the Canadian market. The Monarch was made from 1946 through 1961, except in 1958 when Ford tried to substitute the Edsel for it in Canadian showrooms. Canada said "So-rry" and ignored the Edsel, so Ford brought back the Monarch the next year.
What, and not even a recipe for this first prize winning cake? For shame, Ford. What a lost opportunity for a commercial tie-in with King Arthur flour!
