i'm sure y'all have heard about the horrible earthquake in nepal and the increasing death count....not to mention the utter destruction of many cities....if you're able, doctors without borders accepts donations....they are impartial, neutral and send doctors, medical aids and medication to disaster areas worldwide....

a friend of mine on facebook was promoting unicef, that's another good group....it's particularly disarming and disturbing that unlike disasters in the USA, where people will post constant updates on FB to donate here/there/everywhere to help, the most I have seen is one or two posts to "pray" for people in nepal....now that's fine and good and all, but doesn't particularly practically accomplish immediate needs....

i wonder if attitudes would change if they knew many people in nepal live in refugee camps due to religious persecution.....sadly, i think it would....
