I can remember four of those books from my very early childhood (all but the Pooh book). The Charlie Brown book I barely remember, as it was not a favorite. But the other three are pure gold, and now that I have a nephew, I will be tracking these down so I can buy two copies of each... one for him, and one for me!
This ad came from a 1970 Casper the Friendly Ghost comic book, published by Harvey Comics. My mother did not read comics, but the books are being sold by Parents' Magazine ... as I don't believe she read that either, I can only assume they were a gift, either for my sister (Born in 1967) or for me (born in 1970).
The registration was poorly done on this printing, and the halftone pattern and line frequency were horrible... I've cleaned up the page yellowing and tried to make it as legible as possible. I can re-scan the page again and make an untouched version available, if anyone would like.
