For a casual breakfast, this looks/sounds okay, but a 'candlelight buffet?' Somewhat of a mood killer.

I wonder if it's like Mrs. Bucket (it's pronounced Bou-quet) candlelight dinner with the handpainted periwinkle designs... snicker...

Periwinkle! A favorite color.

I liked it grown up, but I'm more partial to bold colors now... like tangerine and avocado - snicker

Avocado? And not ...

... "Harvest Gold"? We still have a refrigerator that color.

Well, there's a reason. We have an avocado tree and we are up to our *ahems* in avocados during certain times of the year. It's a year long tribute to them.

Harvest gold does rock, though! Give me a deep saturated color anytime.

Avocado? And nary a drop of guac to consume.

"Candlelight Buffet" = Power outage?

I like that it touts an appropriate design - do paper plates have an appropriate design.

Also, that cup is really tiny - must be for espresso...

A standard cup of coffee was only 6 ounces around then; nowadays we have obscene coffee mugs of 12 ounces and more.

Not obscene - necessary (more times than not) ammo to deal with the work world.

Oh, no no no. Hyacinth would never be caught dead serving anything on paper containers, much less on one of her candlelight suppers. Well, maybe she would find the paper cup useful for when Elizabeth comes over.

Me, though... Well, I've often thought of just using paper plates because washing dishes is so tiresome.
