I have never been a fan of "canned meats"...and every time someone mentions Spam I have an awful vision of that jelly stuff that clings to it. *shudder* :P

Yeah, that still was pretty icky looking and feeling. My mum would rinse it in the can before taking it out. Doesn't the same thing exist in some hams? I don't eat ham as a rule, so I'm not sure about it.

I think that it does; I don't like ham either, lol. Getting harder and harder to please am I not? ;) It isn't that ham tastes bad; there's just something about it I am not crazy about.

We have ham once a year and I'm really good with that. We never ate it much when I was growing up - we'd use Spam for Western omelets and the like. I can't even remember really eating ham growing up.

We'd have Spam for dinner, usually with Kraft macaroni & cheese, and peas. Then I'd get to have fried Spam sandwiches for lunch the next day from the leftovers. Double win!
