I used to work at McDonalds from 1987-1990 and every once in awhile somebody would get the under 3 toy. I also used to bring them home, because sometimes they were better than the regular toy!
Ahah, good to know! I'm just now thinking that they would be rarer on the collectors' market, because the mainstream toys would be overwhelmingly popular and plentiful.
Aw, thanks for the lovely memories of Mac Tonight! I worked at McDonalds in the Los Angeles area from '87-90 and we had an animatronic Mac Tonight that used to play the piano every half hour.
The "Mac Tonight" program was kinda cool for its day, but didn't last long. I wonder what the sixth toy was, there is only five in the ad. It might have been a two-page spread, or someone can't count.
I think the scan may have clipped off the left a bit. The bottom text is off center to the left and the Mac guy on the motorcycle is looking in that direction probably towards the missing one. Maybe it was Mac Guy at a piano?
