I've never heard of this before, but in my mind, it tastes like a carbonated Yoo-Hoo. Urp. No thank you.

Definitely something Baltimore would come up with.

In many ways, yes. Baltimore celebrates its quirkiness over the years and has exported a bit of it. John Waters is one of it. :)

atwoods stores sell a chocolate bubbly drink. it's actually very good.
though you'd probably have to love chocolate to like it.

I imagine that this is either very good or very gross.

I'm not entirely opposed to the idea of carbonation and chocolate because I'm still haunted by the memories of this ice cream soda (chocolate chip ice cream + seltzer) from a chocolate shop that no longer exists.

I think this has the potential to be good, but considering most folks’ first-hand experience with chocolate-flavoured soda is Canfield’s (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canfield%27s_Diet_Chocolate_Fudge), I can understand the knee-jerk reaction.

I don't think I ever had Canfield's, but my one experience with chocolate soda was "No-Cal" chocolate soda in the 70s, so it was sweetened with saccharine and pretty gross.

I am both intrigued and terrified.
