My only experience with Calamine was as a lotion for rashes. I had no idea this even existed.

Multipurpose. It's actually really good. Works even better as a sun screen, if you are not the kind to get horribly sun-burnt.

Sadly, I am. I have two colors - white and red, I don't tan and with all the fear of skin cancer now, I tend to be very careful in the sun now.

We have a horrible sun here, too, but I hate piling on sunscreen and using aprons and scarfs :(

My hands and face are a nice crisp brown compared to the rest of my body much to mom's irritation :P

I can only imagine. We've been there for just a short time and I had to be very careful. Our tour guide warned us and warned us, but one of the women decided to spend the day by the pool. She spent the next three days in her room. It was pretty sad.
