My grandmother had a completely pink kitchen.  It was a house she designed & had built.

The stove top, range, frig, walls, curtains, ceiling and even pink specs on the floor tiles and countertops.  it was such a big kitchen that it wasn't so overwhelming.

Wow, all the kitchens I've ever had we had a choice of white, white or white. This is the hassle of renting. A huge kitchen sounds lovely though and how cool she was able to design her own house! That is so very, very neat!

When sheerform styling began taking hold in the late 50s it really produced some elegant, sleek appliances that would look good in a kitchen even today. As for pink, this recently came to my attention. A ca. 1956 house that was built but never occupied. The appliances are pink, and many are similar to ones seen in some of the ads in here. The built-in cooktop with remote pushbutton controls really blows me away. Or avocado or sunshine yellow! I can't help but wonder how many times my brother regretted that avocado green shag carpet he bought for his place when he was trying to sell the place thirty years later.
