Roll 'n Roaster was described as "real food served at fast-food speed." I don't know if, at this writing, they have any remaining restaurants; several years ago, they even opened one up on lower Third Avenue in downtown Manhattan, but it closed. As far as I know, their first restaurant was in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.

Good news; they still exist in their original location.

From the YouTube site: Trivia Bit The end where the patron is dancing with the girls was improvised by George and the director went with it. The actual restaurant did not have wait service at all. It was self serve..."

Thirty years ago or more, I was living with my parents and watching a lot of late-night TV; this jingle became embedded in my brain. (According to YouTube™, this commercial is from 1990.)
