I don't know how many people know that woman's name was Clara Peller, but since this was probably her single claim to fame in this life—who knows what the next life holds for her—people should be aware of it, at least.

She created a bit of a splash with this ad, only one of several humourous ads that the advertising firm Sedelmaier produced for Wendy’s around the time. Ms. Peller had a brief flash of celebrity due to her popular catch-phrase, did a few more commercials for Wendy’s and made some TV and feature film appearances (remember The Stuff? No?).

There was another funny one I recall but cannot find which featured a lobotomized-looking fast-food worker wearing a badge reading “HY!” There’s also the Soviet fashion show one which is on Youtube, and which I’ll probably post in a separate post after finishing this.

YES, by the way.

One of the all-time great commercials! :)

And YES for the contest! :)
