...oh, god, no. that sounds vile. canned tomato soup needs so much help as it is, but to put it on a shell and call it pizza sauce? if you're buying the shell, JUST BUY THE SAUCE THAT'S RIGHT NEXT TO IT.
this gets stupider the more i think about it. stopping now. :)
My mom did something like this when we were seriously Jonesing for pizza and we had next to nothing in the kitchen. She took toast, put tomato soup on it and grated cream cheese (it had been frozen) and broiled it in the oven. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say it tasted like pizza... more like some kind of toasted cheese with tomato soup finger food.
I tried making impromptu spaghetti sauce from tomato soup...loaded it up with herbs and such, but ennnnh...it wasn't a great substitute for the real thing either!
Simmer it so it reduces - soup is much waterier than sauce, so you'll need to get rid of the water. Also, if you have it, add some chopped onion and a little bit of butter.
There are a lot of terrible ideas in here (garnish with frankfurters, hamburger bun mini pizzas, etc.) but in a pinch, using Campbell's soup as a sauce might not be so bad - pizza sauce doesn't need to be too thick, the soup is already condensed and could cook down more if you left it in the saucepan long enough.
