summer reading...

well i'm glad this is combined with beaches as it's hard to find ads for books (well i guess the books i was looking for!!)....neighbors loaned me their copy of the shining the summer of 1979, i was 10....i read most of stephen king's books then and was very fond of jackie collins books too...now i prefer non-fiction and auto-/biographies but i did just read doctor sleep 'the shining II'.....right now i'm slogging thru a 900 page book, 'the bully pulpit' about roosevelt, taft and the muckraking journalists, it's very good.....

I was telling people this past weekend that the only romance novel I've ever read (except the ones I edit) was Jackie Collins' LUCKY, which I discovered in my mom's bookshelf when I was 11.
