Whenever I go to Europe the great pleasure is moving about by train - going from one city center to another without witing in airport lounges and long taxi rides to far-flung suburbs. Book a sleeper and you can even save one night's hotel bill! Go to sleep in Paris and wake up in Berlin! I guess the US is just too big for that type of travelling.
