the idea is to stop drinking to achieve drunkeness, and drink to enjoy the alcohol. which is why the bottle of scotch that TheEngineer bought me was $50 for about half the size of that bottle.
(laphroaig, islay single malt scotch whisky, 10 years old. it's what they served us in scotland last summer, and apparently without knowing it i have a VERY refined taste for scotch. older bottles may taste even better, but this is damn good. deep dry rich taste in the mouth, with a definite aftertaste of peat. in a way, it tastes like patchouli *smells*.)
