my mother used to have one of those! it was like a shower cap that would inflate with hot air. little holes in the lining beneath the cap would stream the air out onto your hair.
We have a picture somewhere of my big brother back when he was a preschooler with one of those dryers on his head. Luckily, the dryer had died by the time I would have been old enough for a picture. No, I just got my photo taken under one of those hard top bonnet dryers. Why did my mom even own this stuff?
We had one of those. It was incredibly uncomfortable - the place where the tube connected to the bonnet would get really, really hot, while the rest would barely get warm. And it was heavy and noisy. I just lay on the bed and read when my mother made me use it. "You'll get a cold if you go outside with wet hair!"
