This really bothered me when I first saw it, but maybe it wasn't so bad. I would like to think that some genuine knowledge and appreciation for diversity was gained from this. If done well, this could be very positive.
I still think it's somewhat offensive. Not as bad as characterizations like Black Samba, but really the bright silk? And white pants?
The jewelry seems fairly accurate, but it depends on what tribe they represent. Some used polished stones, some used polished gall stones of buffalo, and yes, some used turquoise. Some made their own beads from the arteries and cartlidge of animals, dried & dyed.
