I prefer my baked goods booze free, unless they're only called rum balls but don't have any actual rum in them. I've recently had some chocolate rum cake which I figure is about 35% cake and 60~% rum.
i can remember mama making some of these! i really liked the date pinwheels and i TOTALLY turned my brother away from eating ANY of them ever again by pointing out the resembelence between whole dates and cockroaches. *snickering* MORE FOR MEEEEEE!!

I had never heard of leckerli. The recipes I found includes kirsch. They look kind of fussy to make, but I might give them a try sometime when I need to impress someone.
