Not sure what "Silentium" was since I cannot find any discussion about it as a medication. Maybe the same active ingredient as in HiberNol

after further research TIL that Ebony started in the mid 1940's. Indeed it could.

From what I could find, Vicks had alcohol, phenylpropanolamine and dextromethorphan. "Silentium" was probably just a BS marketing name that they abandoned, because those ingredients are still around.
