"Toast is always a treat..."



I didn't even have any bread in the house, so I got some English muffins out of the freezer. Alas, this isn't the glass-sided one that made the news a few years ago, and I admit I didn't find this at a yard sale, but found it on eBay.

I love everything about this one, from the chrome to the Bakelite base to the clunky on/off switch (looks just like a light switch.) And here, someone made an animation with a Toast-o-lator®:

When write_light proposed this weekend event, my first thought was, "I don't have any of that stuff." I was forgetting my collection of toasters and blenders! Stay tuned…

Maybe its just me, but I dont see an ad at the top. Just a tripod logo. I did some sleuthing and think it was this ad?
