How did this one earn the "lesbian subtext" tag? Am I missing something?

Gay artist with (as far as I have seen over the years of his work anyway) only gay characters in his artwork. This one just comes off as female to me for some reason. Maybe it is a very highly stylized Aztec drag queen?
