...it's a kitchen AND a ride!

Because, who needs to spell if you can cook?

OMG I had one of these!!!!! I thought it was so much fun to play with although at some level I didn't really understand parts of it. And I think I used to put my china animals in it.

I'm just going through the postings over the past couple months and for some reason it has just dawned on me the rampant sexism in most advertising. At least 50% of the ads here are putting women "in their place". I'm wondering whether adverts nowadays are any better.

There is a school of thought that modern advertising has lessened its focus on that and instead focuses on dumb/incompetent men and the women who have to save/take care of them. You might enjoy the Sociological Images (http://thesocietypages.org/socimages/pinterest/) website.

Great website thanks. The fat dumb man with beautiful woman construct is very common now. Like the tv show King of Queens.

Even when young, my children noticed the trend of men being dumb/incompetent in children's books, TV shows, movies, etc. and it really bothered them. It's sad that society can't just be positive about the roles of men and women, and respect those roles and honor the manliness of men and the femininity of women. We are created different, for a reason, to compliment each other. I think a lot of societies problems today are in part due to the fact that there hasn't been an honoring of the unique qualities of each gender. I guess I'm not bothered so much when I see old ads of women being "kept in their place" in the kitchen, etc. because I tend to be rather old fashioned and I LOVE being in the kitchen, keeping the home, etc.

Is there a button that makes it spin so fast it flings all the little bits away? Possibly into an eye?

Yes for the itty bitty food packages! I was obsessed with those when I was a kid! I didn't have that kitchen, I don't think but I definitely had that cookware or something very close to it.
