I'm wondering whether the agenda behind that ad is something other than dating. So many of those questions are related to religious beliefs and moral beliefs. After you send in the form, they will send you back your results telling who is right for you: Jesus. It's always Jesus.

If you answer A to number 33, they send a "recovery" squad out to your house. Number 19 is more of an Ashley Madison question. So I've heard. ;)

Maybe just the era. I'm old enough to remember religious crap used to be much more prevalent than now. Now we have eHarmony.

I've never used online dating so I don't know but maybe eHarmony doesn't use questions like these. I also don't care if people want to use religious dating sites like JDate or whatever, but one that annoys me is Christian Mingle because the tag line in their ads is "Find God's perfect match for you." Really? Your dating system is so sophisticated that it knows the mind of God? Well, in that case, it seems a shame to use it just for matchmaking. Let's tweak those lines of code a little bit and merge them with E-Trade's. I mean, come on now. I'd like to find God's perfect stock matches for my portfolio! :D

you forget match.com, and the everpopular ChristianMingle.com

and the second one...well, i had pagan friends who talked about laying bets about who could sign up there and get a christian gal to put out first. just joking because that shit is mean-spirited.

It's mean spirited to try to get anyone to put out under false pretenses! Of course, there would be a lot less sex in the world if people stopped doing that. Entire industries are built upon it.

A relic from the days when "computer dating" was a punchline at best.

the questions are interesting and i can see how they'd help to find someone more compatible to you than a random meeting would. probably quite like match.com!

(i met TheEngineer online on a newsgroup site. that was ohhh, 16 years ago now? something like that. and we're married 5 years come winter solstice.)
