Weekend Event, Contest Finalist, Etc....

Apologies for not posting these the other day!! It's like 500 degrees (uh, no, deduct 400 degrees) and I was helping my elderly neighbor with stray kittens and hood kids found another kitten (who sadly didn't make it, but I got him to an ER vet so he could pass as quickly and with as much dignity as possible) and did I mention it's 500 degrees? Cumulative heat has built up in the house and right now it is REALLY 110 degrees out in the hallway---where all my kitties have decided to lounge, uh, guys?? I have 4 fans out there. Why they don't go to the basement I have ZERO CLUE! It's cool down there! My bedroom AC is doing diddly squat and it's 115 in my bedroom---the AC is set at 61 (though my bedroom faces the setting sun and is the largest room of the house). Gee, imagine if the bedroom AC wasn't working at all?! UGH!! My cubital tunnel is bugging me too BADLY (basically carpel tunnel of the elbow). Just uh, bad week! :) But I have put my mod hat on for a few minutes---who wants to wear a hat when it's 500 degrees??? to finally get votes tallied and get this posted!! And I am sure about half of everyone else in the states are roasting too!!!! One more day of this!!!! (We're suppose to get storms tomorrow night! Oh please please please!) I honestly don't know how people can live in areas where it's this hot all time! More power to ya!

Firstly, I think this past Gay Equality Day was GREAT!!!! Wonderful variety of posts!!! And I don't think there was any problems at all!! HOORAY!!! And yes, we'll do it again next month! I put up an abbreviated 'welcome to vintage ads' sticky tonight so as to get down the notice for July 15 and yes i'll add to the welcome post but my left arm is going numb....argh!

Second, starting tomorrow!!! Weekend Event Friday the 19nth to Sunday the 21st Gardens: Ads featuring gardens and/or for gardening supplies, etc

thank you, it was really upsetting....he was fine in the morning and then obviously not....i think he had feline leukemia as that can hit very quickly....there are so many strays who reproduce in my neighborhood because there's a woman who feeds them, will NOT get them fixed (if she trapped/neutered/released i'd be okay with the strays), won't get them medical help, etc...it's sooooooo frustrating as these kitties are sickly and are stuck living a hard life, getting diseases, breeding, breeding, breeding.....
