Today, all day, is Gay Equality Day!!!

I'm unsure if it's LJ being extremely wonky or what, but it's taken me an hour and 3 different devices to be able to post this. I've checked with other friends and no one else appears to be having these problems, so uh??

I AM able to read comments on all posts (it entails acrobatics...no not really, but it's not sort of a pain how I have to do it) and shall be on troll patrol all day!! REMINDER if you get a hateful comment on a post before I get to it, please copy it---including their user name and then delete it and send me the copy of it so I can ban them! misstiaemail@yahoo.com please put Vintage Ads in the subject....i dunno if LJ messages will work for me today or not, they were not working by late yesterday afternoon nor still this morning....

And a message to the Russian haters who keep sending me hate messages about this---you are annoying and further my resolve!!! Your threats are actually COUNTER PRODUCTIVE!!!

total admit to being reactive and perhaps a bit paranoid! :) with some of those messages i've been getting i was surprised i could even log on today!!! and LJ is STILL wonky as fuck for me today! i can't post via my desktop, can't view comments via my desktop and it's just a MESS!

here's what i'd LOVE to know...

why in the everloving seven hells am i not getting ALL the posts on my f-list feed? and yes, i understand time zones and all that, but i can go to a friend's f-list and see ads i don't see on MY f-list.

because LJ is being incredibly WONKY!!!!!!!! i wonder if i am missing posts?? ugh....i can't even view comments on this entry unless i do acrobatics....i could easily reply to your comment via email though!!

Have you tried clearing your cache and/or using another browser?
Maybe it is a glitch somewhere on your side?

excellent suggestions!! i did clear the cache, updated java and flash and nada.....i also tried IE and nope, nothing different....i don't want to d/l chrome again---i had it once for 5 minutes....this just started the other day when LJ came back online, i have no problems on any other website i go too....so????? i dunno what else to try here....

Because it seems to be an isolated issue. And you are are a mod of a good community.
LJ doesn't use Java. And Flash can be (mostly) turned off via: http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/?cat=display -> Display -> Video Placeholders
And just to make sure - you've cleared your cache by purging everything and force reloading from a server (crtl + F5)?
Do you use a firewall that can prevent an access to some pages (web-security, parent-lock etc)? Do you use anything that can modify how the pages are displayed (adblock, hostmanager etc)
Are your DNS server entries fresh and new?

i TRULY appreciate your help!!! this is really ridiculous....this page right here is white (it's usually black as is my color choice) and it's ALL stretch out with every menu option just going straight down the left hand side in a line instead of properly on the top, and i can't view comments to a post due to this and can only reply to YOURS since i get email notifications!!! the insert bold, photo, etc options don't work either i get a 'javascript:void(0);' at the bottom of my task bar, which is way i thought java had to be updated....just like you know next to protected entries there's a little symbol there? it won't show on my friend's page---i just get [protected entry] .....my friend's page shows fine, my LJ page shows fine...it's just a problem when i go to hit comments or go to post!

i did the cache clear properly! i canNOT manage settings for my journal, vintage ads, nada, the page is wonky and nothing i click will work--as above with the comments page...

i don't understand the DNS question?? how do i check that?

i WILL turn off my virus software and see if that helps!!! that's an excellent suggestion!! (of course if that does help, i won't keep it off, i'll just contact them and say 'hey, fix this! :)

Looks like we have found at least one reason why it doesn't work as intended.
Javascript is what your browser is trying to to understand. It is like regular html, just a bit niftier.
Now, go to your themes. and just for a minute switch to a default theme. See, if it will fix it.

Let me know if you want to continue it somewhere else, instead of comments.

I FOUND THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!! Thanks to your suggestion about the firewall, I turned off my virus software for a minute, refreshed my friends page and the 'lock' showed for members only post and I could click on comments and VIEW THEM!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!! It's THEIR fault, not LJs!! (Though with all the problems LJ has, and the threats I got against my account, I think my thinking it was LJ's fault was warranted; but apologies to LJ!) So I contacted my virus company and told 'em to fix this!!!
