Afraid? Good use of the fear mongering tag. I, and many women I know who still have their original equipment, look forward to it! I'm sure women back then welcomed it even more than they do today since they didn't have access to decent birth control and "that time of the month" was more cumbersome to deal with, let alone having to hide it all the time. But, naturally, women being such delicate and fearful little things aren't prepared to deal with that on their own. And those herbal remedies your mother and grandmother used were all a bunch of hooey. Science has the answer now!
