I was ten when this movie came out. I was pretty much obsessed with it, at least until I saw Beauty and the Beast.

I was born in that awkward stage between great Disney animated films. Too young for the Old Classics and too old for the New Classics. I envy you!

I was 7 when it came out and it's still one of my favorites. I love pretty much any telling of the little mermaid though. I really like the composition of the poster, such an elegant image.

Yes! I have it on VHS too, I found it a few years ago at a goodwill. I have an old VCR on hand to watch all those things that never made it to dvd. I keep thinking we should buy a new one to keep in the box for when the current one breaks down before it's no longer an option.

I was six when the movie came out. Loved it. I own it now. But upon seeing it again after so many years I'm struck by how short in length it is.

Beautiful poster, though.

Remember girls, the key to happiness is to find a man and give up everything for him, especially your voice! Okay, got the feminist disclaimer out there.

I saw this in college at the dollar movies with some girlfriends. We ate a chocolate silk pie in my car in the parking lot before going in. Good times!

Maybe I'm just lucky, but the movie never instilled any ideas like that in me. Though I did want to have Ariel's voice! :)

This and Beauty and the Beast are my favorite Disney movies. I can still remember seeing this in the theater at age 5 with my dad--and being sufficiently frightened when King Triton got angry and destroyed Ariel's things!

Still love it, to this day. Disney sure doesn't make 'em like it used to.
