Hah! Love it and much of Waters' work (there might be a pun there). I have to say I still have a special spot in my heart for his early, raunchy 16mm work. I think it's time to ask the eternal question: Is the egg man here? Is the egg man here yet?

Many fuzzy loves for SM. I'm pretty sure it was my first Waters' film.

See, I KNOW FOR SURE the first Waters film I saw was Pink Flamingos. My first visit to New York City at 18, my brother and his friend took me to a screening in the rented basement of a small church on St. Marks in the East Village, circa 1976. I was unaccustomed to men kissing and holding hands during a movie, nor the open consumption of illicit drugs (yep, everyone was lighting up doobies during the show!) in such a setting. Both the movie and the audience were truly eye opening. And a shit ton of fun.

So very very jealous! I live in the black hole known as South Carolina. If it hadn't been for small (now defunct) video stores I wouldn't have seen anything past the New Releases wall at Blockbuster. Even now there's almost no scene for anything aside from one bar and one club. They aren't bad, but after seeing how lively things are in other cities...

I'm so insanely thrilled that I'll be moving to Seattle soon. :D
