In 2000, I had a burst eardrum with a severe inner-ear infection and side-effects (vertigo, inability to walk, facial swelling, lots of fun stuff). I went ten days with no shower. Plus, I then had to go to a hair salon to have my hair washed as I wasn't allowed to get any water in my ear. It was July, to boot.

I hated myself.
