I love that the ridiculousness of that mermaid. Also I'm amused that all the colors have "Sea" names except "Rose- Orchid" because apparently they couldn't come up with just one more sea word to throw in a name after exhausting shell, coral, lake, pearl and surf.

Toilet seats like this were still being used when I was a kid in the 80s. Although by that time, black seats seemed to have vanished.

Why did they give the mermaid a top hat? Why not just got for the shell bra look?

Just because she's wearing half of a men's suit doesn't necessarily mean she's a "gay" mermaid. She could be transgender or just exploring. Maybe she just prefers men's wear instead of those scratchy shell bras all the other girls wear. Besides, she's trying to earn an honest living selling something she can't even use unlike that stupid Ariel who gave up her voice just so she could marry rich.
