Weekend Event Friday November 30th thru Sunday December 2nd: Smoking Ads [Surgeon Moderator's Warning: We here at vintage ads cannot condone smoking as beneficial for your health. Tobacco has been shown to cause many illnesses and diseases. Even natural herbs when smoked might cause, oh wait, they don't cause illnesses and diseases. Well, smoking can be bad, mmmmkay? We're all adults though and this warning was done in jest. Jest, moi?!]
Reminder---our bathroom contest is thru MONDAY, December 3rd!! so please keep the entries coming and please take the time to vote---which is via a YES in the comments!!!
what weekend theme do you want next weekend? we have either ads from the 80s OR ads that are mostly pink in color----we are trying to avoid holiday colors since we'll be having holiday ads and pink is pretty non-holiday-ish....or purple??? :D no, we'll go with pink this month.....we can do a decade and a color a month then come up with a couple other fun ideas for other weekends......
it also appears that PUPPEHS will be december's contest theme!
holiday ads are welcome to be posted at any time!! 'tis the season for 'em!! we could get a little more specific with them or maybe we could have a weekend theme the weekend before christmas where we post ads for things we really wanted as kids?? how's that sound?? (yes we have free form idea ramblings from me as i post! which might not have happened if eddie hadn't called me on his way home from work! HAH!)
and....when i went to post this entry, i got the scary new version posting page!!! at least it let me switch to the old version cuz somehow it actually logged me out when i went to start typing!!! grrrr......
