I remember when every house we visited had a clock like that on the wall. Like a snowflake exploded and was frozen in carbonite. And was then spray-painted gold for the pretties.
expensive and ugly, and you either had to remember to wind them or look at the ugly cord. And if the "cordless" electric is like the one the previous owners of my house had, it means there would be a special, recessed receptacle in an odd spot on the wall where you would hang and plug in the clock. (I put a blank plate cover on it and hung a picture there.)
