1941 ... pens of national unity!

See even then, people were jumping on the "Over-Patriotic" bandwagon.

I wonder if that could be a weekend theme?

But is it broadcast directly to me? I need to know these things before I buy a pen!

What does reading the title of this as "In penis we trust" say about me?

Anyway, I kind of want this pen. Different design for the casing but the pen itself looks awesome.

I read it the same way.

These pens are great. The bodies are stacked disks of celluloid and they're gorgeous to look at. They're also fairly good as pens, and very easy to service these days. I still mostly use a Parker 51 though.

You're not the only one who read it that way.

Dang. That's a nice looking pen. Out of curiosity, I did a search for "Parker Vacumatic' and now I want one. I'd likely rarely use it though. Still, as nice as it looks in the ad, that drawing doesn't do the pen justice.

"National Unity"--where all types of American are represented. I SAID ALL!

The lady third from right looks horrified! I think it's because she just noticed that part of her foot is missing and she's wondering when and how that happened. She knows she should lay off the sauce, but even this won't stop her.

The gentleman in gray is how FDR would have looked with a spray tan. Very Boehner-esque!

I think all of them, with the exception of Mink Stole Lady (#2), Tin Tin (#3), and Missing Foot Lady (#5) are robots similar to the mother and daughter ones in that recently-posted ad with the flying car.

I don't blame Missing Foot Lady for looking scared. The FDRbot looks like it's short circuited and is now in Kill All Humans mode.

FDRbot was originally built so they could transplant FDR's brain into it out of his polio-ridden body, but they found out too late that FDRbot had a mind of its own! (Feel free to use this, Futurama writers.)

It's probably just the hang of Tin Tin's coat, but doesn't it look like he and FDRbot are walking arm in arm?

Also kinda looks like Tin Tin is grabbing his crotch with that linked arm.

I also thought that FDRbot and Tin Tin might have a thing going. Maybe because Tin Tin reminds me of someone I know whose only interest with Mink Lady would be the mink. ;)
