Anyway. I just learned that I have the very same piece which is being used to store bread in this ad, and holy crap that is the best use for it, ever!
I have a Tupperware addiction, and I scour yard sales looking for old pieces that are still in great shape, and I can't tell you how jazzed I get when I know a piece is worth $45 and I buy it for less than a dollar.
It dawned on me that the bread container belonged to my mother, and she would have bought that thing in the '50s or early '60s, so yeah, for goddamn ever.
Honestly, I think Tupperware is one of the miracle products from the 20th century. I still have some pieces that are over 50 years old. Why can't everything be made with such quality and durability? Everything now, even an electric drill, seems to be made for single-use.
