Creepy, and aggressively guilt-trippy too. Almost sarcastic.

I vaguely remember Sunday School......I just HATED it. It seemed so very very boring and irrelevant.

I remember one of my Sunday school teachers would send me cards like this when I didn't go that week. I like this. I think it's cute.

I'm a raging atheist now but I really loved Sunday School. I didn't learn anything but we had COOKIES and we made cute crafts with lots of glitter (and got into fights over ownership of the Mary clip-outs because she was the prettiest.) No guilt, no indoctrination - that was a proper Sunday School!

This is awesome! Sure, it's more than a little creepy, but it's a cute illustration. And the subject matter! :-D

True story: neither of my parents are the least bit religious, but when they first got married they hustled my five-year-old ass out the door and across the street to the Baptist Sunday school so they could have a little newlywed alone time. I was grown up when I figured that out. I loved it though: flannelboard stories! I'm still awed by flannelboard technology. :-) And I was that little girl who loved to get dressed up, so on the whole it was a giant plus for me.

I don't get it. What are they selling? Or is this a donation card sent out to backsliders?

It seems like only yesterday they were just kids, and now they're a married couple.

I have a couple like this in my postcard collection! Yes, they're super passive-agressive. I'll have to scan them this weekend.
