Either those are tiny kids or that's a big samovar!

Hanging tea? My first thought is that it's a type of tea people drank when they attended a hanging, but I hope it wasn't that. Maybe the way it was dried or processed?

It actually means "measured and packed", as opposed to bulk tea.
