OMG the memories!

Magic Mountain (now Six Flags Magic Mountain), 1973, 1974



RE: Magic Mountain... Hands up if you remember that big purple buddha figure and the crazy funhouse it inhabited (aka The Magic Pagoda)!  \o/  I spent hours going through that over and over and over. :D   Long since gone, sadly.   A very trippy experience and amazing for cooling off in during summer. 

The face moved, so it talked to you.  (via projection onto the statue)
  The dragon flew overhead, belching steam, with strobe lights.

Lots of mirror halls, bridges over water, fun house atmosphere

I used to go there all the time! Before it became Six Flags and after.

Me too! Back when it actually used to have theming. Now, from what I understand, it is all bare, paved concrete and people standing in chained lines, staring at television screens they have put up to distract you from the many hours you will spend in each line. Pretty grim.

There was a carnival that came to our school every year with a ride similar to the Electric Rainbow but we called it the Barf-O-Wheel.
