A totally CRAP car that fell apart 2 days after the warranty expired. Perhaps the worst car ever created. I bet that it is nearly impossible to locate a Pacer today (unless it had never been driven). btw, what's with the rear end?

Maybe he wasn't getting much, like those old-time explorers who saw boobs in every mountain and named many of them accordingly?

OTOH, my cousins, as children, pointed out, much more accurately IMO, that it looked exactly like the head of a giant hippo...We had one of these passed around to various owners within the extended family for a number of years. From the other comments, I guess the fact that it did survive until the mid-late 80s at least was a testament to the sheer amount of redneck mechanic skills in our family.
