Love this! The 1960 election is a fascinating one, especially the first television debate and the response to JFK immediately afterwards. Richard Daley had ignored him up until then and was there when the doors to the TV station opened right after the first debate, and the crowds were bigger and more enthusiastic the next day on his campaign tour. Meanwhile, people thought Nixon was sick he had looked so gray and haggard (and sweated!).
