Back when there was also some real Olympic rivalry. Because the U.S., Soviets, and East Germans competed in nearly every event, even if the U.S. sucked at that sport, at least I could root for whoever was taking on America's rivals. Go Luxembourg!

Now it's like, Russia won? Well, they seem like nice people. Boring!
