I had never heard of this program until Me TV started running the promo a few weeks ago. I had a chance to watch a few episodes over the weekend. It's certainly not the worst thing I have seen so I don't know why it's been buried all these years. It's a post-Desilu Desi Arnaz production with Bob Carroll and Madelyn Pugh as writers and a pretty good cast with Eve Arden and Kaye Ballard, but it apparently didn't have good ratings. Just shows that just because you have good ingredients, it doesn't mean the recipe will turn out.

I've been seeing the commercials, too, and have never heard of it.

Roger C. Carmel - a.k.a. Harcourt Fenton Mudd :D

Kaye Ballard and Eve Arden were a GENIUS comedy team.

I bought the series on DVD when it was released 2 years ago (but still haven't opened it. I do that a lot.) The show had to have been syndicated during the early 70's, because I remember it as my first exposure to Eve Arden when I was around 5 years old.

That must have been when I saw it - I was too young to have watched a show like that in 1967, but probably early 70s reruns (like Star Trek and Love American Style and Gilligan's Island).

I was born in '68, and by the time I was 5, was in control of the TV in the house. I raised myself on a steady diet of I Love Lucy/Bewitched/I Dream of Jeannie/That Girl/Gilligan's Island reruns, followed shortly by The Brady Bunch/Partridge Family when they left first-run and went to syndie.

I'm glad that MeTV has picked this up, and hope that it means that some other things that aren't shown anywhere might start being syndicated soon there, or on Antenna TV, like One Day at a Time, or Alice. Or Here's Lucy.

I was born in '67. You forgot the Monkees! :)

I would watch the Monkees faithfully every day at 5, and then the Brady Bunch would come on, and I'd watch that until dinner time. Gilligan's Island came on before the Monkees, so I would watch that, too, but not as often.

I do have a vague recollection of the Mother's In Law showing up, but I never watched it.

Oh man, I'd forgotten about this show. I remember watching reruns of it in the 70s. I doubt I've heard that theme music for decades, yet as soon as it started in that video, I remembered it.

Now I feel all old.

I remember watching it when it was on primetime-- I was really young at the time. I bought the dvd of the complete series awhile ago, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
