stay tuned for more story time next week! and THIS WEEKEND is gonna be SWIMWEAR!! just a fun weekend....i'll post more about that friday morning....plus our event calendar (i'm gonna make an event calendar tag, is that a good idea?) of upcoming events....and i think i still want more feedback on a couple things i've asked before (that way no one can never say i never ever asked for anyone's opinion before we do something! :)

if you live in an area that's been hotter than hell, i hope you have done your best to stay cool and kept your furbabies cool too if you have them....we were suppose to have rain today but the storms totally diverted away from akron....ugh....need rain!!!! need cooler temps!!!!

no...i'm trying to think if there's something planned for that weekend.....well the opening weekend.....i'm heat sick today.....let me check the schedule and if there is, i can move it.....

well wait...do you think we should have an olympic weekend? if so, i agree....

yeah, I think we should do a weekend of sports or olympic ads, or maybe just an unofficial theme during the games?

i think there'll be a plethora of olympic ads....i think the opening weekend is a good time for it!! a weekend event and then say during the olympics continue to post ads......if there's another event that weekend i will either move it OR we'll have two weekend themes.....sometimes summer time is slow :) maybe i'll ask, once i figure out if we have something for that weekend......(calendar and notes in other room!).....

Oh, we got rain…did we ever.

I managed to get thoroughly drenched when I was walking dogs today; the rain soaked my wallet and my clothes so that I had hypothermia and I had to hang the contents of my wallet up to dry when I got home.

It was kind of cool; I actually like summer rains.

i like summer rains too!! as long as it doesn't rain for 10-20 minutes then get so hot/humid afterwards the rain has zero effect.....i gotta run my sprinkler tomorrow on my butterfly bushes and then move it to other things that need rain--unless we get rain overnight--PLEASE I HOPE WE GET RAIN!!!

i saw some places got hail too! eek!!! not a big hail fan!! i like a good storm, as long as there's no damage (strange combination i know....)....

We supposedly got hail, although I fortunately didn't get hit on the noggin by any.

When I was a kid in Bowling Green, KY, we got hailstones the size of golf balls one summer! We put a few in the freezer.

We're getting a heat index of 103° today but we're also being taunted with rain clouds. Please let loose some rain!

we right now are GETTING RAIN!!! YEAH!!! and it's getting cooler!! DOUBLE YEAH!!!! i hope you GET RAIN!!!!

oooo....icons!!! i have often wondered, should we ever encouraged the making of vintage ad icons??? i know we have many talented icon makers here and i know some people make icons from ads.....i don't want to encourage posts that don't include an ad though......i wonder if that's something i could ask and we could figure out a way to get 'icon' posts??

Put aside a special day for the posting of icons as well as the regular ads. Let's make Thursday Icon Amnesty Day. Ad icons ONLY. That way we won't get constantly spammed with 8,000 tv star icons with a couple of vintage icons squeezed in to make it legit.
