Ha! Worms were what I was thinking, too! Where in the recipe did it say "stir in one dozen night-crawlers?"

I'm fine with lima beans. I do not, however, eat worms. *gag*

Looking at the ingredients, I'd say it's probably tasty enough. You could leave out the limas or carrots and substitute corn or something, if preferred.

The presentation, however, is atrocious.

What the heck is "gravy coloring"? Come to think of it, I think someone wrote a book on this subject: 50 Shades of Gravy.

Oh, and yes. Anyone who had the gonadular fortitude to come up with that monstrosity and put it out there for the world to see deserves a vote.

I'm assuming it's something like Kitchen Bouquet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitchen_Bouquet). I always use it when I make a roast gravy. Adds a little color and flavor.

I have heard of Kitchen Bouquet, but I didn't know what it was until now.

Gravy coloring is caramelized sugar with some water added. Basically you burn the sugar, add water, and bottle. I've seen plenty of old cookbooks with recipes for it - you can use it to give a better color to soups and things. "Caramel color" that you see on the ingredients list on a can of soda is basically the same thing.

Okay, thanks. I didn't know this was a "thing." To me, gravy coloring involves making a roux. The darker the roux, the darker the gravy.

This would be completely edible without the worms and green bugs crawling on top of it.
